Tamzin Outhwaite has described herself as a "total homebody" and admitted that she loves spending time at home.

In an interview with the Daily Mail, the actress said that she's happiest living the domestic life at her Victorian cottage in Crouch End.

"I love pottering about rearranging furniture and ornaments, and when I get back home from a show and it's 11.30pm and I'm buzzing, I wind down by going online and looking at houses. Not because I want to move, just to have a look at their décor," she said.

"The bedroom at the top of the house is piled with rickety old chairs I've picked up at junk shops and swatches of fabric for reupholstering them, some day."

Outhwaite also stressed the importance of a proper night's sleep since becoming a parent.

"I try to get to bed by midnight, because [my daughter] Florence wakes between 5am and 6am, yelling or singing; she's not even 2 yet but she can belt out 'Twinkle, Twinkle' with a key change.

"It's terrifying, but then I was a little show-off when I was growing up, so I can hardly complain."
