Avril Lavigne has got engaged to her boyfriend of nearly two years, Sum 41 frontman Deryck Whibley.
Although Lavigne has been known to insist that the pair were just good friends, US Weekly magazine reports that Whibley proposed to the angst-ridden 20-year-old last weekend during her European tour.
The pair, both hailing from Ontario, reportedly moved into a Los Angeles house they bought together last year.
