Bleakley confirms World Cup absence

Christine Bleakley has confirmed reports that she will not travel to South Africa this summer for the football World Cup.

The TV presenter is currently dating Chelsea footballer Frank Lampard, who is predicted to be a key player in Fabio Capello's England squad for the international tournament.

Bleakley told the Evening Standard: "No, I won't be going to South Africa. I have other things to do!"

Earlier this year, it was suggested that many wives and girlfriends of England footballers would stay away from the World Cup after Capello moved to limit access to their partners during the competition.
