Geldof excuses himself from Live 8 bill

Sir Bob Geldof has decided that he won't be performing at Live 8 after all.
Although he is organising the event, Geldof feels that he is not a comparable crowd-pleaser to the likes of legends U2, Paul McCartney, Elton John and Madonna.
Geldof played the original 1985 Live Aid event with his band the Boomtown Rats, but his career has greatly dwindled since then.
Breakingnews.ie quotes him as saying: "I don't think I'm going to be playing. Let's face it - I don't sell enough records to justify a space on the bill."
