Russell Crowe, who was arrested on assault charges earlier this month, has announced that he is really a 'big softie.'
Crowe, 41, sees no value in anger and urges fans to control themselves. He told German magazine TV Movie: "I am the biggest softie you'll ever meet. Anger doesn't lead anywhere. You have to be in a position to be able to bring your temperament and adrenaline under control."
In Crowe's latest film, Cinderella Man, he plays a former boxer forced back into the sport to support his family. He said of boxing: "I have a great deal of respect for this sport, but there is no gratification for me in forcing someone into a corner and knocking them out."
