James Brown rape case dismissed

A lawsuit alleging rape by James Brown has been dismissed.
The suit, filed in January, claimed that Brown raped former employee Jacque Hollander in 1988. This incident, according to Hollander, caused her to suffer from Graves Disease via stress from Brown's actions. She sought damages of $106m (£60m).
However, a federal judge has decided that since the two-year limitation period on such a claim has long-expired, the action cannot continue. The plaintiff has said that she intends to appeal the ruling.
Brown has been on the wrong side of the law over the years for domestic violence and drug and weapons possession.
