Cattrall: 'I like comfortable cardies'

Kim Cattrall has admitted that she is far less focused on fashion than her Sex And The City character Samantha Jones.

The 53-year-old explained that she does not try to make a big impact with her style when she is dressing for everyday life.

Speaking on Live From Studio Five about Samantha's fashion sense, Cattrall confessed: "It's a little too aggressive for me. I'm a child of the '70s so I like my jeans and comfortable little cardies. They have their own signature but it's nothing like Samantha.

"I don't feel like I want to work that hard every single day. And I like my flat shoes now."

The actress also paid tribute to Sex And The City's costume designer Patricia Field, revealing that she always gives her an input into Samantha's outfits.

She said: "What I love about Sex And The City and especially working with Pat Field is that it's always a collaboration. Some of my favourite moments are putting together those outfits… I just adore her and I think that she is just a genius at what she does."
