The emergency 911 call made by the Iowa hotel employee who found the body of Slipknot bassist Paul Gray was released today.

In the call, the maintenance worker said that the musician's hands and legs were "all purple", and he suspected that the death was caused by a drug overdose.

He also revealed that there was a hypodermic needle next to the 38-year-old's bed, as well as a bottle of pills.

Gray's mother is said to have called the hotel early on Monday after not being able to reach her son.

An autopsy performed on Tuesday was found to be inconclusive.
