The 4.3.2.1. actress told Sugar that she was stricken on the only occasion that she met Grint.
Roberts said: "I have a thing for readheads. I met him once and I think my eyes just glazed over, I was so flustered."
Of media rumours about her supposed relationships, she continued: "Those are always hilarious because I'm usually friends with the people involved.
"It went round recently that I was dating Chace Crawford. So I called him and I was like, 'Chace, apparently we're dating, how exciting is that? Are we in love yet?'"
Roberts added: "And then apparently Stephen Dorff had asked for my phone number and the newspapers were saying I'd dissed him.
"My mum was like, 'Emma! You've been dissing Stephen Dorff? Stop being mean about him'. And I said, 'Mum, I don't even know who he is. I have literally never met him'."
