R&B singer Luther Vandross dies, 54

Luther Vandross has died at the age of 54, it has been confirmed.
The singer, who had hits with 'Here and Now' and 'Any Love,' suffered a debilitating stroke in April 2003 and had a lifelong history of obesity problems.
He died at John F. Kennedy Medical Centre in Edison, N.J. early Friday, said a hospital spokesman. No cause of death was released.
