Barrymore responds to sexuality rumours

Michael Barrymore has responded to recent speculation regarding his sexuality.

The 53-year-old claimed that he was romantically interested in women while shooting an episode of Celebrity Come Dine With Me.

However, the former presenter has now admitted that he made the story up.

Barrymore told the Sunday Mirror: "I'm a gayer, [which is] basically a straight man all the way through, in every mannerism like football, except his preference in bed."

Earlier this month, 37-year-old marketing executive Emily Woods refuted rumours of a relationship with the star.
