Corrie star to host Party in the Park

Coronation Street's Nikki Sanderson is to host Party in the Park in Leeds this month.

The actress, who plays Candice Stowe on the ITV1 soap, will introduce stars such as Lemar, Melanie C and Freefaller.

"I love live music and can't wait to see who else is performing at Party in the Park," she told the Daily Star.

Sanderson announced that she is quitting Corrie last month, with reports suggesting that she wishes to pursue a singing career.
