Adam Lambert 'urges donations, not gifts'

Adam Lambert has suggested that his fans donate to charity rather than give him gifts on his upcoming tour.

The 'Whataya Want From Me' star - who kicks off his 'Glam Nation Tour' this month - wrote on his Twitter account that he received "so many thoughtful gifts" the last time he was on the road that he ran out of room for them.

"Instead of giving me gifts, why not donate 2 donorschoose.org or other charity in my name? U can print a reciept 4 me and personalize it, (sic)" he wrote.

After a positive response from his followers, he added: "Yay I'm glad u all like the idea! I love reading your cards and seeing your drawings too, I'm just not going to be able to take them with me."

Lambert - who will be joined by Allison Iraheta and Orianthi for the tour - previously hinted that fans could expect a "sparkly" and "theatrical" production.
