The Diff'rent Strokes actor, who died last Friday aged 42 after suffering a brain haemorrhage and slipping into a coma, did not see Sue and Willie Coleman much after a bitter lawsuit 20 years ago.
Coleman's lawyer told Us Magazine that he spoke with Sue "a couple days ago" and added that "it's been kind of hard" for them. He added that "there are a lot of emotions surrounding all of it".
He also said that other family members "seem to be doing okay. Gary's really gone. It's one of those things that you keep trying to get your mind around."
