Clooney's girlfriend denies Aniston slur

George Clooney's girlfriend has denied being rude about Jennifer Aniston.

Elisabetta Canalis, who has been dating Clooney for nearly a year, was criticised for re-tweeting someone else's comparison of aged rocker Iggy Pop to Aniston.

The 31-year-old star claimed that she mut have hit 'retweet' by accident. She later wrote on her Twitter page: "I just read on Google that I tweeted something bad about J Aniston. Let me be clear, it's a complete lie. I would never do that!"

Canalis has admitted to having "problems" with the social networking website and insisted that the incident was a "mistake".
