Sales soar for Live 8 artists

A number of artists who performed at the Live 8 gig at the weekend have witnessed a dramatic increase in their CD sales.
Sales of Pink Floyd's 'Best Of' album have risen by a huge 1343%, while The Who have seen their album sales increase by a similarly substantial 863%.
Speaking to The Mirror, Pete Townshend of The Who joked: "Our sales went up 832 percent over the weekend - that's because we sold one record on Saturday and 832 since."
Other artists to benefit include Annie Lennox, Dido, Razorlight, Robbie Williams, Joss Stone, Sting, Travis and Madonna.
