Keane will donate Live 8 profits
Published Wednesday, Jul 6 2005, 11:15 BST | By Daniel Saney

It was reported yesterday that the artists who appeared at Saturday's event have enjoyed vastly improved sales since the concert due to heightened publicity.
The first to assure the public that he would not profit from sales brought about the event was Dave Gilmour of Pink Floyd, whose albums sales apparently went up by 832% over the weekend.
6 Music quotes a spokesperson as saying: "David Gilmour would like to clarify the point that he's donating his share of Pink Floyd's increased album sales resulting from their performance at Live 8 and, contrary to several media reports, does not speak for the rest of the band on this issue."
Keane have pledged the same, saying: "Following David Gilmour's example, we will make sure that we don't profit from Live 8."
