London Attacks: Shows, gigs cancelled

Gigs and West End productions are being called off in the wake of this morning's terrorist attacks on London.

Up to six explosions took place in London this morning, one on a bus and five at tube stations, resulting in the shutdown of the capital's transport.

As a result, the Society of London Theatres has cancelled all of today's West End performances, offering refunds to ticket holders.

Additionally, gigs in the capital's major venues have also been pulled. Sum 41's concert at The Astoria since staff are unable to travel to the venue.

Nate James' show at Shepherd's Bush Empire has been resheduled to next month, as has The Prodigy's gig at Brixton Academy.

Blue's date at Wembley has been postponed tonight for the second time, though Friday and Saturday's shows are to go ahead.

Meanwhile, Queen have decided not to go ahead with their Hyde Park show on Friday but on July 15 instead, and R.E.M. are now set to play there on Saturday July 16, rather than this Saturday.
