Amy Winehouse's mum backs new romance

Amy Winehouse's mother Janis has revealed that she is thrilled over the star's new romance with movie director Reg Traviss.

The singer has reportedly been dating Traviss for several weeks following her latest split from on-off lover Blake Fielder-Civil.

Speaking to Grazia about her daughter's new partner, Janis admitted: "I'm really looking forward to meeting him. Their relationship is a gift from the gods.

"You just want to see your child happy and healthy and if Reg can help Amy stay in a place like that, then it's a good thing."

She continued: "Amy, bless her, is a little girl in love. I think it's what's called early days, but it's great for me to see Reg making her so happy. She seems to like everything about him."

Reports suggest that Traviss recently dumped burlesque dancer Raven Isis Holt to be with Winehouse.
