Sugababe Mutya Buena has admitted that she has been deeply affected by images of children starving in Africa.

Since giving birth to daughter Tahlia in March, the singer has become increasingly upset over poverty in Africa.

"When I see pictures of children starving it makes me want to cry," Mutya told The Mirror, after performing for the Edinburgh Live 8 concert. "Since becoming a mum, these images upset me, and I think, if that were my daughter, I'd want something to be done."
