Zeta-Jones stalker sentenced

Catherine Zeta-Jones's stalker, Dawnette Knight, was sentenced to three years in prison on Friday after pleading no contest to stalking and threatening the actress.

According to the AP, prosecutor Debra Archuleta read a letter to the court from Zeta-Jones. It read: "You have profoundly affected me in how I conduct my life. Your actions will be with me the rest of my life - how I will be constantly observing, looking over my shoulder ... You will never be famous, you will never be infamous, you are just a criminal."

In the events which started as far back as 2003, Knight threatened that she would "slice [Zeta-Jones] up like Meat on a bone and Feed her to the dogs," "chop her away like Manson did," and "slash her throat like OJ did."

Defence lawyers, however, suggested that Knight was "harmless" due to the graphic nature of the threats and claimed that she had a "girlish crush" on actor Michael Douglas - husband of Zeta-Jones.
