Michael Jackson has been encouraged to donate royalties from the Beatles songs performed at Live 8.
The singer - who was recently cleared of child molestation charges - owns the rights to most of the Beatles' songs.
Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, Get Back, Drive My Car, Helter Skelter, The Long And Winding Road and Hey Jude were all performed by Paul McCartney at the Live 8 concert earlier this month, and experts believe that the profit Jackson has made from the gig could clear his vast debts.
An insider told Breakingnews.ie: "Even though the profits could be huge for Jackson, we hope he could give the money to Live 8."
