Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Michael Pastor announced the conviction on Friday after four days of witness testimony and evidence, reports The AP.
Johnson was not present for the trial's conclusion but O'Ryan is said to have had no reaction to the verdict.
He was found to be legally insane and will complete his prison term at a state mental institution.
Johnson recently said that she was "really scared" of O'Ryan and felt that he intended to harm her.
