Cameron Diaz has insisted that she is not ashamed of appearing topless in her early modelling days.
Taking the witness stand at the trial of the photographer who she claims tried to blackmail her, Diaz revealed that she thinks that she looked good.
"I wasn't ashamed to be out there like that," Diaz explained. "The photos themselves were not offensive to me. I thought my boobs looked good - at least I had that going for me."
"I didn't think of it as pornographic. I was 19 and exploring the possibilities of my body. I wasn't ashamed of it," she told Los Angeles Superior Court.
"It was a professional shoot. It wasn't like a back-alley 'take your shirt off'."
Diaz claims that photographer John Rutter contacted her in June 2003, speaking of his plans to sell topless photos from a shoot in 1992, to "people who were intentionally trying to hurt me".
Cameron testified that he offered to sell the pictures back to her for $3.5million, which she alleged amounted to blackmail. She also claimed that Rutter had forged her signature on a release form allowing him to sell the images.
