Hall: 'Mendes rumours were b***ocks'

Rebecca Hall has denied rumours that she was at fault for the separation of Sam Mendes from his wife Kate Winslet.

The couple split in March after seven years of marriage. It was reported that Hall, who worked with Mendes in two stage productions, had an affair with the director.

"It's the weirdest thing and it's all a load of b*llocks," she told the Daily Star.

"Of course, he's a good mate. I don't know where [the rumours] came from. I've given up caring... Mostly I didn't give a s**t."

Hall joked that she almost didn't mind the scandal as she normally leads an uneventful life.

"There's a part of me that doesn't mind the most far-fetched things printed about me, because I'm actually keeping the reality shielded... the reality's just really boring... I'm a very private person."
