Doherty leaving Babyshambles?

Pete Doherty is set to leave Babyshambles after a clash with the band's manager James Mullord, according to rumours.

The former Libertines member refused to attend the studio to record with the rest of the band and was eventually found to be in his flat, reports The Mirror.

He apparently wants to leave the group and start recording with lover Kate Moss. The model, who sang backing vocals on Babyshambles F**k Forever, has recorded a demo of The Divinyls I Touch Myself with Doherty, which has convinced him that the musical partnership could go far.

A source told the newspaper: “Pete was harping on to anyone who cared to listen about how great Kate sounds on the track.???

“Only a few close friends have heard the demo. Kate has always loved the song and thinks it’s just perfect for her and Pete…It defines what everyone says about them. It’s a passionate song – and Kate wants everyone to know that Pete turns her on.???
