Alex Reid rep denies Danny Dyer spat

Alex Reid's publicist has insisted that the cage fighter is on friendly terms with Danny Dyer following reports of an altercation between the pair.

Yesterday, it was claimed that Reid had attempted to settle an old score by "grabbing" Dyer when they came face-to-face at a local gym.

The cause of the alleged feud was said to be Dyer branding Reid "a mug" in his now-axed magazine column last year.

However, Reid's spokeswoman Joanna Whitehead told Now: "It is completely untrue. Alex did not intimidate, threaten or hurt Danny in any way. The two met at the gym where Alex is training for his upcoming fight and did have a friendly banter with him.

"They exchanged numbers, arranged to meet at the weekend and sit together at an MMA fight on Saturday. They have now been texting each other. Alex has also offered Danny some training tips. So how could there be bad blood between them?"

Earlier today, Reid and wife Katie Price confirmed that their forthcoming marriage blessing will be broadcast on ITV2.
