Kaiser Chiefs and Bloc Party are planning to collaborate later this year.
Nick Baines of Kaiser Chiefs told The Sun: “We talked about doing a festive single with Bloc Party, like a sort of limited-edition cover.???
The cover in question is to be of Mariah Carey's 1994 hit All I Want For Christmas Is You.
Both bands are among the contenders for this year's Nationwide Mercury Music Prize with their albums Silent Alarm (Bloc Party) and Employment (Kaisers).
The winner will be announced on September 6.
