Former members of Spandau Ballet have revealed that they were approached to reform for an appearance at Live 8.
Gary Kemp and Steve Norman, who helped the band achieve such hits as Gold, Through The Barricades and True in the 1980s, have said that Bob Geldof's request was unfortunately impractical.
itv.com quotes Kemp as saying: "Bob wanted us to play but we can't get ourselves agreeing and all coming back together in the same room.
"It's a tough thing getting Spandau Ballet back together right now."
However, he went on to explain that he managed to make it on to the stage at the event and found the atmosphere overwhelming. "I was very fortunate enough to be able to worm my way onto the stage and it was fantastic," he explained.
