Rupert Everett: 'Driving cost me TV job'
Published Tuesday, Jun 22 2010, 08:58 BST | By Jennifer Still

The actor, who appeared in only two episodes of the drama, told the Daily Star that he "blew" his chance to impress showrunners because he was stressed out by driving in Los Angeles.
"With American TV they work so hard and do ten-minute scenes in one take, which I find very difficult," he explained.
"Also I had to drive to work, and I'm not a very good driver and I'd be in such a state by the time I got to the studio, I could hardly say my name, let alone my lines. That was a big opportunity and I blew it."
Everett can currently be seen in Wild Target.
