Russell Crowe has donated a swimming pool to a primary school in New South Wales.
Shocked by an incident in 2001 when a pupil drowned at nearby Coffs Harbour beach, the philanthropic Crowe has contributed $200,000 towards a swimming pool for the children of the Nana Glen Primary School in the hope that it will teach children how to be safe around water.
The school's principal Laurie Renshall told Pagesix.com: "The many things he does up here, people just don't know about. We've been trying to get a pool for ten years."
