Capello allows WAGS to meet players in SA

WAGs including Carly Cole, Chantelle Tagoe and Ellie Darby have visited the England team in South Africa.

Despite previously claiming that he didn't want the footballers' partners distracting the players, coach Fabio Capello has softened his tough stance, according to the Daily Mail.

He previously commented: "We're going to South Africa to play, not for a holiday. If they don't want to come for the day only, they should stay home."

However, Chelsea star Joe Cole yesterday reunited with his wife Carly and daughter Ruby at the Palace Hotel in Sun City.

Emile Heskey's fianceé Chantelle Tagoe, Matthew Upson's girlfriend Ellie Darby and Glen Johnson's wife Laura have also been spotted supporting their partners.

Coleen Rooney and Steven Gerrard's wife Alex Curran are apparently "on standby" if the team progresses further in the competition.
