Mayer 'wants Cheryl Cole to tame him'

Musician John Mayer reportedly wants a relationship with Cheryl Cole.

A source told Now magazine that Mayer admires Cole's independence and thinks that he is a better dating prospect than Dancing With The Stars regular Derek Hough.

They said: "John thinks she’s completely stunning. He keeps hoping she may be the woman to tame him. He loves the fact she's independent and sexy - all the things he looks for in a woman.

"He's met Derek out and about and thinks he's 
a nice guy, but not 'hot enough' for Cheryl. John keeps saying Derek might be the kind of guy you want to marry - but he's the kind of guy women want to date."

Cole is said to have embarked on a relationship with Hough since announcing her separation from footballer husband Ashley.

Mayer recently toured the UK with Ellie Goulding, who is reportedly planning to work with Cole.
