Kylie Minogue has auctioned off one of her dresses in order to raise money for an AIDS charity.

The spiky black halter dress worn by the 'All The Lovers' singer was sold for €20,000 (£16,471) at a benefit in Paris last Friday.

The dress was designed by fashion legend John Paul Gaultier, who was present at the event to watch his creation go under the hammer, according to The AP.

A total of $180,000 (£120,585) was raised at the event for the American Foundation for AIDS Research.
