Angelina becomes Cambodian citizen

Angelina Jolie has been granted citizenship in Cambodia in recognition of her environmental work in the country.

King Norodom Sihamoni signed the special decree after the actress, who has an adopted Cambodian son, declared that she would be spending $5 million setting up a wildlife sanctuary in the northwestern province of Battambang.

Toun Siphan, director of the government's international relation department, confirmed to Reuters: "The King signed the legal papers and that means she now has Cambodian citizenship."
