Ward returns to Sydney after 18 months

Gemma Ward has returned to Sydney after 18 months in the US.

The Australian supermodel-turned-actress, who has appeared on more than 30 covers of Vogue magazine, flew into Sydney last week to prepare for an audition for a role in Mad Max 4: Fury Road.

A source told The Daily Telegraph: "She looks really good. She's definitely back for [Mad Max]. She's working on a few things. Acting is her focus."

Ward, who was believed to be dating actor Heath Ledger when he died in 2008, has not spoken publicly since his death.
