Ozzy: 'Johnny Depp was going to play me'

The former Black Sabbath frontman claimed that the 'Alice In Wonderland' star was ready to take the role in 2003 before the rocker broke his neck in a quad bike accident.
"Johnny Depp is much better looking than me, but he was all set to be me in the film," Osbourne said in a MySpace webchat.
"Then I went and broke my neck so it all got canned. I am not sure if the film will ever get made now, but if it does I would quite like an unknown Brummie to have a go at the lead”.
Osbourne recently echoed this wish to cast a Birmingham native in the role, adding that he no longer wanted Depp to have the part.
