Paradis: "Family is more important"

Vanessa Paradis has said that she does not try to equally balance her home life and career.

The Heartbreaker star told Stylist that her family takes priority over her movie work.

Paradis said: "It's not balanced. It's difficult and there's got to be compromise. Of course, family is more important, but I try to make time for the projects I really want to do."

Asked if she is a romantic at heart, she replied: "Totally. My heart often takes over. In the movie, there are times when my character Juliette is caught between her heart and her head, and aren't we all? Life is one long journey of being torn between what you have to do and what you want to do."

Paradis added that the idea of marrying her partner Johnny Depp is both romantic and scary, but that there is no point in marriage if you are happy without it.
