Vanessa Paradis reflects on Depp romance

Vanessa Paradis has reportedly claimed that love, respect, patience and old movies are what makes her relationship with Johnny Depp work.

The French singer-actress said that she thinks it is vital to spend quality time with one's partner to maintain a steady romance.

Asked for her tips on making relationships work, she told Stylist: "Love, respect and patience. I think it's important to spend quality time together.

"We like watching old movies with Bogart and Bacall and Jean Gabin and Alain Delon."

Depp recently revealed that he and Paradis are planning to work with each other on a film.

He confirmed: "It's in preparation. It's called My American Lover. Vanessa plays the French feminist Simone de Beauvoir and I play her lover Nelson Algren."
