It is believed that the model will be forced to explain accusations that she was given the stone at a dinner at Nelson Mandela's house in South Africa in 1997.
The Special Court for Sierra Leone ordered a subpoena and stated that law enforcement agencies should be asked to ensure she appears, says BBC News.
Actress Mia Farrow, who attended the same party, has also been called to trial. She has claimed that Campbell told her that she has the stone.
Taylor allegedly used the diamonds to fuel a war in Sierra Leone.
