Rose, McNeil call off engagement?

Catherine McNeil has called off her engagement to Ruby Rose, according to reports.

The Australian TV star, who was first romantically linked to supermodel McNeil in November last year, allegedly told friends on Facebook at the weekend that their relationship was over.

A friend of the couple confirmed the split to The Daily Telegraph, saying: "They are, and have long been, tremendous friends. It's sad they've broken up and both women are determined to remain close, but the relationship wasn't working."

It is believed that McNeil ended the relationship due to distance, but representatives for both stars have refused to comment.

Another source said that McNeil's modelling agency Chic wanted them to break up, saying: "They thought the press she was getting with Rose was damaging her. They didn't want her to be depicted as some sex-fiend lesbian."
