The movie is being re-released as the Grease Sing-A-Long in select US cities. Ocala residents took to an online poll allowing the city with the most votes to be added to the film's distribution list.
The town topped the poll by hundreds of votes, reports Access Hollywood.
“Wish I could be there with you,” Travolta said in a statement to Ocala residents.
The actor and his wife Kelly Preston bought an $8 million home in the city in 2003.
