Facinelli celebrates July 4 'traditionally'

Peter Facinelli has revealed that he spends July 4 in the most traditional way, watching the fireworks and throwing a barbecue.

The Twilight actor, who is married to Jennie Garth, has said that he grew up watching the annual fireworks display, which is why he says he still enjoys it today.

The 36-year-old told People: "Growing up, everyone would be lighting [fireworks] off down the street and it'd be the nosiest, loudest day of the year, and the most explosive. I think maybe that's why now... I like to go see the fireworks - it reminds me of being a part of it."

As for having tips for a great barbecue, he added: "The trick to barbequing is just to grill the chicken first and then add the barbeque sauce within the last five minutes. If you put the barbeque sauce on too soon it burns off or just blackens the chicken."

The Twilight Saga: Eclipse is currently playing in the US, and is released in the UK on July 9.
