Denise Van Outen says that she isn't forcing herself to lose her baby weight.

Van Outen, who last week guest-hosted Channel 4's 5 O'Clock Show, has taken a relaxed attitude to shedding the weight she gained while pregnant with daughter Betsy, who she gave birth to in May.

"I'm bigger than I used to be, obviously, because she is still only two months old," she told The Sun. "But I'm not putting any pressure on myself. I'm just so pleased to be a mum."

Van Outen also claims that she is too busy working on maintaining a healthy social life to worry about her weight.

"The most important thing for me after having the baby was that I didn't want to stay at home locked away," she added.

"I think that can lead to making you feel a bit sad or depressed."

Van Outen has previously said that she "won't wait too long" to have a second child with husband Lee Mead.
