The 55-year-old star admits that his family have struggled to cope with the constant "emptiness" that they felt after the untimely death of the King of Pop just over a year ago, but have since been able to gather strength from this presence.
According to Music News, he said: "We can never get over it, it's just trying to live with it and the fact he's not here. We know his spirit is very much alive. I feel him quite a bit."
Jackson also believes that fans around the world experienced the same amount of personal grief at losing the musical legend as himself and his loved ones.
He added: "We hurt, like everyone else. We're not made of steel. We're human beings: we're family.
"When Michael passed and the world cried they didn't cry because of an entertainer. They cried because of the love that he put back out there and what he was about."
Jackson has previously shared his belief that his brother would still be alive if he had "embraced" the ideals of Islam.
