Jedward: 'We're like Jesus to our fans'

John and Edward Grimes have joked that they are like Jesus to their fans.

The former X Factor duo told Heat that they were happy about the support they have received from their followers.

Edward said: "Our fans aren't crazy, they're more like our friends. They're like our ambassadors - they promote us and go everywhere with posters and stickers."

John added: "They go out every day and get random people to hold our posters to support Jedward. They take pictures of it."

Edward continued: "They go to Spain, Portugal, Italy, everywhere and make YouTube videos of themselves promoting us there."

When the publication joked that the fans are "spreading the Jedward gospel", Edward quipped: "Yeah, sometimes we feel like we're St Patrick. Well, not really. Or Jesus. And they're our disciples.

"Ooh and guess what? They got Ke$ha... and Nick Jonas and all these famous people at Capital FM's Summertime Ball to make messages for YouTube to follow Planet Jedward on Twitter."
