Louie Spence: 'Beckham muddled my gaydar'

Louie Spence has joked that David Beckham's style and popularity has made it difficult to tell if a celebrity is gay.

Writing in a column for Heat, the Pineapple Dance Studios star revealed that he initially thought Cheryl Cole's alleged new boyfriend Derek Hough was her "gay shoulder to cry on".

Spence said: "It's harder than ever to spot a gay celeb, even for me!

"Is my gaydar getting muddled here? It wouldn't be the first time. You know who I blame for getting folk confused over their sexuality? David Beckham - the perfect metrosexual man.

"Damn him and his sarongs, his Armani briefs, his stacked pack and perfectly-formed... sorry, darlings. I'm veering off the point, aren't I?"

Regarding recent internet rumours that Beckham was poised to split from his wife Victoria, Spence added: "What's all this divorce gossip about Posh and David?

"I was at theirs the other night for dinner (it was Chinese and chocolate) and the only thing on our minds was GaGa, gays and Posh's new line of designer luggage."
