Andre: 'Beckham should manage England'

Peter Andre has revealed that he would like to see David Beckham become the manager of the England football team.

The singer predicted that Beckham would perform well in the role - currently filled by Fabio Capello - if he was given the opportunity to take over in the future.

Writing in his New magazine column, Andre remarked: "Like everyone else, I was so disappointed to see England lose to Germany in the World Cup. There was so much high expectation and it really took the life out of everyone when we lost.

"People are blaming Fabio Capello and the players. I don't know whose fault it was but, in my opinion, the players didn't look comfortable. Maybe the pressure was too much.

"I also read that David Beckham has been linked to one day becoming the manager. I think it would be the perfect job for him and he would be brilliant."

Andre recently flew out to Spain to shoot a 2011 calendar.
