The lead singer of Kasabian admitted that he was "miserable" after watching the team play in the tournament.
He told The Sun: "I've been watching the World Cup and like everyone else, I'm miserable."
He added: "If I played football like I did music then we'd be world champions every day of the week."
Kasabian recently performed at the San Siro stadium in Milan in front of 60,000 fans but Meighan said that he loves "intimate gigs".
