The 25-year-old footballer recently announced that he had become a father and that the identity of the newborn boy's mother was to remain "confidential".
His sister Katia has revealed that the family has never met the mother either, reports The Mirror.
She said: "The baby is at our home here on the Algarve. We're looking after him while Cristiano is away in Madrid. He's called Cristiano Ronaldo.
"Yes, Cristiano chose the name but we like it. We don't know the mother, we never met her."
When asked about Ronaldo's new girlfriend, Russian model Irina Shayk, his sister said: "She seems very nice. I don't think she is after him for his money."
